Anybody that is going to Burt lake should go over on Mich Sportsman and read the story from a guy that went thru there this weekend. Some scary stuff. The one area of the lake is not safe from what was posted there. It also lets you know how well the striker suit floats a person. Don't nee d to lose anymore people this winter be safe

Just stay away from the streams that come into the lake . The two streams on south side in Indian river behind Pat and Gary's bait shop is where they went though  . I was on Maple Bay and trucks all over the place

Wow, at a loss for words. Thank goodness they made it. What a "story" of survival.
To reiterate his words.... this is why I don't like to be out past dark. I enjoy the morning/afternoon in the daylight. If the bite does not turn on until evening then so be it. It's an inherent risk.....as is life in general.

Very happy to hear they made it out. Grateful for everyday.

Thank you for sharing Bill. Be safe fellas.

I've had open water on the home lake for a couple days now. Reading that gave me some serious chills. Very luck people. There was a rescue this afternoon on St. Clair.. It's that time of year we all know is coming.
