Nice fish. Really black. Did you ever crack that 30 inch mark this year you were talking about

Thank you lowaccord66.  Thats a PB for weight from Schroon.  I've had a few skinny guys 28 inches before, but this one is thick!

Yeah...very dark fish.  Haven't hit 30" this year YET.......(not over either) no suckers most of the season has slowed my tipups....so im targeting salmon on them....and jigging lakers seems to bring in #'s...not size for me.

Went out from Adirondack today, plenty of ice, around 16-18 inches and no problem with access.  No other people in that area but saw a few in other areas of the lake.  Saw a couple of snowmobiles out too.  Caught a couple of short lakers and dink perch.  Nice to get out one last time.

No, edges are shot, ice starting to darken, probably go out 15th-20th.

I have not been past that way, but my guess is it's probably similar.  Only thing that is still solid right up to the shore, are small ponds.  There are a few ponds that allow jigging Lakers through the ice after April 1.

With temps in the single numbers and highs in the upper teens many of the smaller pike ponds have frozen over, with 8-12" of snow forecast tonight.

I wouldn't mind there being ice already but it takes more than a few cold nights for that lake to setup.
