Any ice reports here yet? Or did the wind keep it open till this week?

Ice heaves and gaps on lake now. Truck fell through at horseshoe bay( just front tires on a crack)
There is 16-18" of ice but she is falling apart out there, use caution

There was a fellah that fell through walking on ice when he went to check out a crack. Went up to his arm pits. He got out safely.

Heading out to sunset view on Friday. Has anyone been out there lately? I heard that there is a heave just off the boat launch that makes it impossible for truck traffic to get on the lake? Can anyone confirm or deny this?
Thanks

I don't think you can drive on at sunset but there is access from other boat launches

Sunset is not good for access. Best bet on the east side would be golden sands or evergreen

Hey folks havent been on here in awhile. You can now get onto lake via sunset view main beach i drove my truck over the ice heave monday tuesday. As for fishing extremely slow walleye are not biting but i did manage to catch an 18 pound jack monday and tuesday a 19 pounder in the same spot at the same time of day. Both were released

Just be careful if you cross that heave as some people have bottomed out and done some damage
