How I spent New Years.
« on: Jan 03, 2005, 09:34 AM »
Took the wife and my 12 yr old son out to my remote cabin to see 2005 in.

It was cold when we were there rangeing from -18 with 25 mile per hour winds to -39 with no wind.

As you can tell from the tracks I did venture on the lake for a couple hours of fishing. Didn't stay out to long with the high wind chills. I didn't have room for the speedshack this time. Next time I go it will just be I, so will be fishing more.

My son spent lots of time playing games.

New Years eve we blew off some fireworks of which I'm sure the wolves have never witnessed before.

Did see a few moose on the trail home but wasn't quick enough with the digital. Also some large wolf tracks following our trail to the lake.
Hope a you fellow iceshanty members have a fun filled 2005, with some great times on the ice.
HAPPY NEW YEAR.

if anybody from michigan will help me out with the lakes and stuff up here I'd really appreciate it since I'm new to the area.

Nice place. I wish I could live on a lake. I'd be on the ice everyday of the week.. Where abouts is that?

Northern BC. Canada

My wife grew up in Prince George and Terrace...beautiful country up that way.
