North Park

A buddy and I headed to LJ on Saturday. This was our first ice of the season so we were stoked to get out! Ice was 5-6". We moved a few times to find the biters. Ended up catching 13 or 14, one of which was a fat 18". Northland Buck Shot spoon was the ticket.

I got an e-mail from Bill Wilcox this morning saying that there were lots of fishermen up there over the weekend, and there is a fair amount of open water in the middle, but the edges holding on.  Days getting a little colder (but still above freezing), but nights much colder, so maybe the ice will hold on until the next really deep freeze.  Glad you did well.
There is no such thing as bad weather - only bad clothing.
