Title: Maine Allagash Trap Info

I need to buy 4 traps im looking to get some info on Allgash traps made in Maine
Does anyone know how big they are? What size reel is on them? How tall they stand without and with the flag up?

I got them at Burnies in Lewiston, Maine and I know that the Kittery Trading Post has carried them. I wish that I had them for myself, I have Jacktraps. The Jacks are nice, but you are paying for the finish whereas the Allagash you are paying for the features.

I got 5 traps , put 5 coats of clear on them and the finish looks even better then jacktraps finish plus i have drag on the reel

Post by: northernnyice on Jan 14, 2009, 07:07 PM: cant go wrong there eh? Although i have to say, allagash tip ups kinda look like a more expensive version of 40 ups, ive got green ones and love them, they are easy to see..and theyre really tall.
