Vexilar FLX 20 ducer issue
« on: Feb 03, 2021, 06:54 PM »
I have a 2 year old FLX 20 that had a ducer issue today. Worked fine yesterday but couldn't see the same tungsten jig it saw on a gain setting of 2 yesterday even if the gain was maxed out. Looked for nicks on the cord but everything looked fine. As it was hanging in the hole I held the ducer cord between my finger and thumb and rolled it and the jig began to show on the display. For the few hours I was fishing I had to do that constantly to see my jig. Thoughts? Battery was fully charged. Doesn't seem like a 2 year old transducer should go bad. I borrowed a buddies spare 19 degree to try tomorrow. Anybody know a fix or is it time to order a transducer?

If your friends works on yours. You probably need a new one. My Fl 18 went bad. Tried my fl8 on it and it worked. Bought new transducer for it and have been set. I think carrying from spot to spot with it NOT in saddle didn't help.

Was there any current ? If you were fishing deep. Current could have blown your jig out of the cone angle.

Run a test on transducer and go from there
