This was the lunker that I caught, 40", 20lbs on a jigging rod, put up a heck of a fight

This pig came through that hole.. Amazing!

Stellar pike!  I don't think the Mowhawk gets the recognition it deserves.  That should open a few eyes and give it some attention.  Again, great fish!

man i thought the 30'' er i got on a jiggin rod was awsome that must have been great thats a monster.

Awesome fish.  That must be a great fight on those rods.  How much ice?  Looks thin.
There was about 5 inches at the most,where we were was a small jog that branches off the river then back to it.It is a hot spot for perch,but where there is perch theres pike!!!got to love it.yeah it was a good fight,i dont think something like that will ever happen again.definitly the biggest fish ive pulled throught the ice

Awesome pike I fish the lower part of the mohawk my whole life in the summer but never in the winter it never freezes enough. I'm around locks 7-9

Thats a great spot thats where I caught my 48"er. Were the Crappie fisherman there?

Hey dav,  I have to agree bigun's there.  Where do you generally go?  I'm outside of Albany always looking to go and meet new people, hopefully we can meet up sometime, even on the Mohawk we'll take the Lund!  Hope to see you out there.

I drove past the Mohawk over the weekend, completely open ... does not look good for ice fishing this year  :(

I live within earshot of the mohawk river.  I like staying dry - moving water+ice is not a combination I like.  The backwaters can be productive though ;)

yeah,it was a good looking laker,how deep was it where you were fishing?did that pig put up a good fight? i might have to try my luck out sometime up there.

Those are some awsome pike, I cuaght one on the mohawk closer to Rotterdam about 12# last week. I will have to get a picture on here.
