Unlikely to this year. Last year the clearance had to do with the migration to the new G3 mapping built-in within the units. Savvy customers such as those of us here knew that you could just update the maps and you have the same thing.

They just released a new echomap Ultra that can run their Ultra HD side imaging transducer without a black box, which is why this one is being depreciated. I wouldn't be surprised to see a unit in the next two to three years that can run the LVS32 without a black box. That's what I'm waiting for before I upgrade again.

I wish there was a 12" unit that can take just the transducer without hauling the black box too....if it was under $1000 that'd be great. I do agree it will not be happening in the next year imo, since there is demand and the only competition in this technology is priced even higher than Garmin. When the tech becomes more common you will see prices falling on these types of units.....honestly if they can bring the price down to $500ish they will make traditional flashers completely useless.

The Lowrance version is based off of the Garmin one via a patent sharing agreement that came out of the Navico/Lowrance lawsuit against Garmin. That's the only reason Lowrance has "Livesight". You won't see any other competition unless they figure out a way to do it without infringing on the patents.

Not to kluge this talk in deals, but I saw Lowrance has an ice specific LiveSight ducer out. I wish garmin did, atleast one with a couple pounds less cable.

Got my order from Frank's today, L predator bibs fit well, I'm in between sizes and they adjust with room for layers. Got medium for the rigging gloves and they fit great. Box was weird that they packed in. Some kind of meat company box lol, threw me for a loop

I wouldn't count on them being that price. Their print ads were likely printed a week or two ago at least, and the digital ads have since been updated to remove that sale price.

And I believe someone else posted a response they got from FF that those items would be full price.

There is a disclaimer on their ads that they reserve the right to correct pricing errors. So basically just because it's printed, they dont have to honor it.

But you may be able to use the ad to price match somewhere else, though I would bet before they price match and lose $100 they would contact FF and find out it was an error.

They had one or two per size on the rack at the store I looked in last Friday - would hope they have more in the back of the store...

The ad says "Doorbuster" so I would guess in-store only prices, but it would be worth a look to check online.

My Predator bibs, jacket, and gloves came from Frank's at about 7:30 tonight. Guessed right on the sizes. I'm 6'4" about 210 and an XL jacket and L bibs are perfect. Happy to be "locked in" on this deal and not have to battle crowds in the stores, or online brand exclusions and out of stock issues.

I felt like the predator was better for actually being able to move.....but at $129 I'd maybe consider having the hardwater pair as well....for the ultra cold days

Good luck to those of you trying to get the hardwater pieces from FF for $129. I'm not holding my breath. I wouldn't mind a $30 beaver dam tip up though. I may buy one tomorrow for $40 then go in Friday afternoon for a price adjustment.
