What lb flouro leader?

Last year was my first year targetting walleye. I used a 12lb flouro for my leader. I usually fish mid to heavy stained water. I was just wondering what everyone else used and if they go lower or higher depending on the stain.

Typically 4# for anything smaller than 17 inches.  6# for most everything else.  For jigging rods.

I usually use #8 lb Fluorocarbon for my leaders, unless I am fishing in an area with lots of cover. (Logs or heavy weeds)

I try to use the lightest possible to keep from  killing the action of my bait / lure.

8-10lb is the standard in my area. Im fishing for some pretty large eyes on the Bay of Quinte and never used above 10lb

So by the sounds of things, I need to go lower. Already have some 6 and 8 lb fluoro so I'll just switch over. Thanks.
