Canyon Ferry ice: here today gone tomorrow.....

The ice on the south end of Canyon Ferry was pretty good up until Sunday night, had 3.5-4.5" inches of pretty hard ice built up.
Not enough to fully trust the lake for me but I was able to walk out on some points and scratch the itch...
Now them ice skaters.. they seem to be very confident in there winter swimming skills or maybe have Broadwater search and Rescue on speed dial cause they were clear out in the middle and flying around everywhere....what's up with that?

But all that's a moot point after Sunday nights blow. My wind gauge showed a steady 30-40 mph all night and most of what was there clear up to almost Roundtop down to the dikes is all gone...whats remaining???
