Fishing At Echo Lake
« on: Jan 03, 2010, 12:23 PM »
Has anyone been catching anything at Echo as of late?  I have gone twice in the past week or so, and have seen lots of Jack, pickerel, and perch, on camera, but nothing really biting other than the odd perch which are very small.  I have been fishing usually by 8:30 a.m. and have been leaving around 3:00 p.m.  Are they biting later towards dark and am I missing them?  Everyone around me seems to be having about the same luck during the day.

I have been using 1/8 and 1/4 ounce hauger spoons with fish eye in various colors and also glow jigs, and standard white lead heads.
It appears there just not biting?  Or am I using the wrong hooks and bait?

Thanks

Was out there twice this year and the fishing was weak.  Ya - I caught lots of Perch the size of my pinkie - but that's no fun.  Seems like Katepwa is the place to be.  I'm trying it out tomorrow.  Will report back.
