Deep slush, sketchy ice, weak edges. I wouldn't go near that place-

Sweet!  Looks like a nice school of them came through.  As usual, just gotta find them, or let them come to you.

That widow maker is still freakin scary...hopefully with this cold, the death ice will stay away a little longer.  Be careful out there Friday, gents!

Nate it was those 5 from 5 different holes in a 150' radius.  I had to jig em up. Then they'd go down. Up down up down then when they finally hit it was a solid thump. I hadnt marked but 2 or 3 fish all day prior to these.

Me Bro  and Ray drilled at least 200 holes fished  from  open water to widowmaker and then back to open water along east side then fished open water to big trees on west side then I went back to widowmaker again. :P

Lotta work for 5 perch but still better than working! ;D

Seems like a bunch of lone wolves, cruisin the depths.  Curious, have you drilled in shallow? Say in the 15-5 fow range?  I wonder if some of the schools (or at least groups of 5-10 fish) could be starting to stage in shallower water to get ready for the spawn?  When Shaun and I fished up North, we found many of the nicer fish (and good numbers) were in 4-6 fow.

That's how it was for us on Sunday, Stu & I searched up & down that whole area for 1 perch. It was pretty windy, so we bailed by 10. I think FishSlap cleaned out the place on Saturday   ;D

I deserved it  ;D  I always get out fished by the rest of the crew after we go for the long hike.

Stu was out there with the Panoptic guy Sunday. They found absolutely nothing. If they ain't there you ain't gonna catch them.

I did miss a couple at Widowmaker Thursday- ;)
