Hello Gentlemen

Time to mark your calendar for the social event of the year. The "2014 Gathering" will be on Sunday, December 14 at 12:00 noon at McDannels Landing pavilion Moraine State Park. Please list what you are bringing when your respond. All are welcome, even Slider. See you there.

Seriously though. Looking forward to getting together on a Balmy Sunday afternoon. Good food, friends, and a few innocent lies. Maybe, if we're lucky, the Polar Vortex will give us 5-6" of clear ice. I say 5-6" cause you know Slider and I cannot be on that thin stuff together.

Hey Jarhead, have you checked out Brantner jigs or KJB Plastics yet? Once you place your first order, don't tell the wife I told you about them. LOL.

The 30 lbs is probably that awful green and yellow parka he wore. Slider please bring those tarps this year Eddie no I havnt checked out those jigs you mentioned, but I will your gona cost me money again!! I will see u all there thing of a fish fry got lots of walleyes crappies and perch!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just trying to plan ahead, If Slider was putting his tarp up and a big gust of wind was to come along it might take him sailing out across the lake. If I have my tarp then we can put it up to have some place to stay out of the wind waiting on Slider to make it back! Oh yea, that reminds me to bring some extra rope!

I got good news and bad news
back surgery in august had nuts bolts plates and bars put in went great no more back pain

Bad news
surgeon says I need vertebrates in neck done now trying to hold off until spring
ain't gonna miss any ice this year

It's great to hear that you are on the mend slider. Back pain can ruin the best of days. Now with all that steel in your back you're going to need an extra layer of something covering your back. I would suggest one of those ice drilling bikini girls. Just have her wrap herself around your mid section, all the way around then put that green and yellow suit on over top it all. That should keep you warm and the bikini babe stays warm under the suit and the wife stays warm under the collar. Win win win the way I see it. Right?
