Other than the wind, it couldn't be a much nicer day to ice fish!! Many guys are struggling to find a good bite under blue skies and high sun, but a few guys are catching them. Here's a nice perch from today. Caught on the new 13 Fishing Teardop and Wicked rod combo.

It might be a small hole, but if you're just out for panfish, this auger is hard to beat in thick ice!!

Don, Tried that 6061 with the Wicked Ice 20inch UL. What a great outfit. Rod does not need a strike indicator...so sensitive. Was able to catch some gills that were only about 2.5inches and you could see the rod bounce. Caught a 11 inch crappie at Hammond that day and did real well handling it. Caught about 20-25 that day and then fished Glendale with it for about 9 hours and caught approximately 40 fish with it, including some jumbo perch. Glad I did buy the rod with the reel. Thanks, Nez

Glad you like it! That 20inch SUL is the most sensitive rod we carry for sure! Plus its got a decent backbone if you do get into a few bigger fish. Hope you catch many more with it

This tangled mess is headed to the Berkley Fishing line recycling center. Good job Tackle Shack customers! This is thousands of yards of fishing line that will be turned into park benches, fish habitats and more. More importantly though it is not going to a landfill or into our waterways. Save your used fishing line and line spools and recycle them at Tackle Shack!!
