TONS of jigs coming in this week!!  My fiskas should be here any day now, plus some backorders from Expedition Outdoors and Northland Tackle.

Over 12000 waxworms are shipping in to me on Wednesday.  Frigid temperatures these last few days delayed shipments until tomorrow.  We have some in stock yet though and this shipment should get to us Thursday, Friday at the latest.

Another 10,000 spikes will be arriving tomorrow, along with 5000 mealworms and 30+ lbs of assorted minnows and shiners.  Our large shiners have been beautiful this season.  Hopefully this shipment will have some bigger suckers on it too.  We've been trying our damndest to get some big ones, but the growers just haven't had them for the last couple months.  Demand on big suckers put a shortage on stock until these little guys grow up some.  If you're after stuckers in the 3-6 inch range though, we've got plenty!

Our stocks of Oak leaf grubs are great still!  If you haven't tried them yet, you gotta get a dozen or two!  Perch and big gills just love them.

Conditions for the county have been updated.  Good ice everywhere we checked at 7+ inches.  Check the reports boards for more details.

Snow coming down now.  The roads are good, but slick.  There's still a layer of ice on the road in spots.  Allow some extra time to get to the lakes!  Weather man says this is supposed to rain late tonight and into tomorrow.  I'm hoping not, but either way it shouldn't affect the ice.

We've had a few phone calls about Eskimo Ions...We are SOLD OUT of Ions for the season!  2 years in a row this has been our best selling auger, but we can't get any more until next ice season.

Lots of people out already this morning. We've got 20+ lbs of shiners coming in shortly, as well as fatheads, rosey reds, and more!

Need waxworms? We've got plenty in stock with another 5000 on the way. Shipping problems due to extreme weather in the midwest slowed or stopped shipments to many people, but here at Tackle Shack we've been able to keep the shipments coming! We have contacts all around the country to make sure we're always well stocked for you

We will be updating conditions around the county tomorrow night after we close up shop. We're hearing mixed reports on the lakes and we will make sure you have the most accurate and up to date reports going into the weekend

Also, to our friends in Williamsport...I'm happy to announce that we've been working with Bass Pro down there to help them stock bait for the winter.  We are always willing to work with other small shops.  I've been very lucky to find great bait growers and wholesalers , even when supplies are limited across the country. Moving forward, we hope to expand our bait business to much of this region in the next couple year, hopefully in a move that will benefit us, other stores, and most importantly all the fishermen!

Too cold? Yea, I'd say this weather is kinda crappie  . Lots of good ice out there!! We've got gloves, socks, handwarmers,and toe warmers to help you stay warm in this frigid weather!
