Yes CLEM the end is near. Over all I had a pretty good year. But it is coming to an end quickly. :'( :'( >:( Tommorrow might be my last day at marsh creek. Alot of other lake's will be closing for trout season as well. Some of which still have half decent ice on them. ???. But we lost a few weeks of ice fishing. So all those 1st day trout fisherman & women can have trout fishing 2 weeks earlier. We got the short end of the stick. on that deal.

Tomorrow may be our last shot to get on the ice.  I'll be in Tennessee next weekend, and hopefully there will still be good ice the following weekend.

Does everyone really think the ice is going anywhere soon? As long as the nights still stay in the 20's it would alright.

I'll be anxious to see what kind of damage all this snow has done, when I hit the lake next weekend after the winds blow all the snow off, and freeze the slush...should still be 20+" when I get there...I hope...I'm not ready to call it quits just yet...

Im not ready to put the gear away yet,I have mon. and tue. off and am looking for a place that dont have to much slush on top to fish in the northeast pa region anybody?

on the lake i fish it is. we were fishing over the open water just last weekend on 5" of ice.

Temps will be in the mid to high 40's here next week with some rain in the forcast....Might be the last weekend for the bid water (Kinzua) as it will rise and fall depending on what they let out of the dam. The smaller trout lake should be fine till at least next weekend!!!

Their is 2ft of ice cubes, in the cooler at  my local seafood store, ;D  I think that's were my next trip will be.......  :'(  :'(  to all that venture out, let's use our head's. No fish is worth going in for......

went to lake jean this a.m.  was about 2' snowslush on top of ice .  went to briarcreek lake and fished awhile top 2"-3" sloppy.  i hate to see it end ,but can't wait to get the fly rod out on spring creek.        ya'll be safe see ya next year   keith

      Drove around a little today to look at some of my local haunts and decided today's the day to call it quits. I'll be in the garage getting the boat ready to go if anyone needs me...
