me and a buddy fished last night and the edge was going going gone almost found 2 spots to get on. other than that the middle look great 6 plus inches of ice just havta watch out for older holes that didnt freeze back up gotta be careful anyway good luck and i hope there is still some hard water for you all to fish. i think ima head out tonight and see what she looks like again 8)

Its unfortunate to be back on this thread but we are supposed to get some weather tonight keep posting the weather and conditions after the storm to see where the rain falls and where it stays frozen....cross your fingers and hope for the best.

Sure hope the ice holds up for you guys that dont have the bigtime snow cover like we do. This weather will help us in the southwest corner a bit. The extended forecast has the nights in the teens later this week.

Be careful, With the run off we are having and the heavy snow on top we will be losing ice from the bottom.

We're getting a lot of rain here in the Southeast, could be all for our local lakes. Since they already came back form the dead once; we really can't complain. Still hope springs eternal..........

Up here in the extreme NE, its only been flurries and sprinkles, and not enough of either to hurt anything....come on up, there's plenty of ice yet !

Just looked Accuweather... Thursday-into-Friday this week... 8-14 inches of snow for Lehigh Valley-Pocono's (and others).  


Do I live in a cave, or did this one come out of nowhere?  

Scratch that... the forecast actually calls for 10-20 inches!

I know what you mean about the forecast.  I left the house this morning and they were calling for little or no accumulation today and maybe 2 inches tonight and flurries tomorrow.  now it has spit and squalled snow all day and now have a little less then 4 inches on the ground and it is supposed to snow all night tonight with 10 inches plus in the higher elevations (where IM at, just south of promised land) and snow most of the day tomorrow and then LOTS of snow on thursday.

Freakin Crazy.....  Oh well i think here in NEPA we have been fortunate this winter with the snowfall.

Looks like Accu. Weather is forecasting a historic BLIZZARD for Thur., Fri. Feet of snow and hurricane force winds near the center of the storm and even 40 to 60 mph winds out on the storms perimeter.

I kinda like it here in central pa, west of state college. The places I fish have 9-12" of good ice and another 8" of snow will only help it last longer. If it keeps this up I may be able to ice fish for trout on the first day.

any more rain or snow a lot of the lakes will go down in a hurry.
