So I guess Bob never got his permit before Christmas to get the waterdogs from the guy in Nebraska?  Government.

Better scoop up what suckers you can find now before they become scarce too!

I read a while ago about some place in Longmont having waterdogs - but that was before Christmas.  Can't remember the name of the place.

Bennetts Bait N Tackle in Berthoud (Between Loveland and Longmont) might have them.  I bought them there several years ago.  Bob is the owner and if doesn't have them he might be able to tell you where to get them.

If your in need of sucker's try fishing @ Dowdy for a day, you'll have plenty of bait for the season and have fun catching them as well. Plus it'll help the lake out alot.
just a thought.

Will not drive to Denver for dogs! I fish for the relaxation and a trip through Denver would ruin that for sure! I fished Elevenmile Friday. Stopped in the tackle shop down by the boat ramp and the gentleman that ran the place said the division is going to put waterdogs on the invasive species list. ???????????????????????????????????????????What??????????????????????

Are they native? I've never used them before but it would make sense if they aren't.

Not sure. I no we had some in our pond when I was a kid. Doesn't mean they're native I guess. Wish they were in there now! Tiger salamanders are none aquatic.

I'm pretty sure we do have native ones.  Just not on the level you can find them in other states such as nebraska.  I don't believe ours get as big either.
