Lots of open water around the Long Pt area Sunday, it has snowed over 24" in Catt. County where I live since I was there checking ice. Hope it missed the lake

I would imagine the whole lake should be froze over by now. I wouldn't venture out to far just yet though. Small boat harbor in buffalo getting fished now.

Well that's good for formation! It was only 1 degree out last night. If it was open, no snow, cold windless nights. I'm feeling like we will be drilling holes sooner than you think

Yeah happened Wed night, some jerkoff tried to drive out on ice off Gallagher beach at the jet ski launch. He didn't get very far only about 4-5 inches of ice.

Well I've about given up on this year with above freezing temps even overnight it's gunna take a nice cold front to lock her up over deep water. I'm from buffalo though. Any local guys got an update

I went by the lake yesterday around 12:30 and lots of water on top of ice.When I went by again about 4:30 the water was freezing nicely,if no real hard hit of snow,I think this will be the last week to give it a shot,after Friday it's"Syanara to the ice"!

As long as there is no drastic weather conditions you should be good to go this weekend. I sat over deep water tonight with 30 guys in eye sight.

fishing should be safe between the 6th of feb and th 18th of 2016 .if your like me you like 10 plus inches.i fish this lake alot and i love it.
