Just got in from Dewittville. Only slush I found was from the shore out about 50 yds. Only reason for it was the creek was flowing pretty good. Surface was hard enough for the hut to ride on top but every other step broke through 6" of snow. Perch galore out there tonight. Never marked an eye. Hope that helps.

Jeepers. Get some bait and go for it. Perch are chasing up to 7' off bottom.

Where ya park at Dewittville?
I dont always drink beer, but when I do I like to drink alot of it.

Fish Nik and I will be going out of Long Point in the A.M. as well.  Let's keep our fingers crossed for the bite and conditions.  Supposed to be windy.
If my advice sounds good, you probably need more practice.

I didn't think you could park at Dewittville.  I'm pretty sure it's private property on both bays.  We knew someone who lived there and were able to park in their driveway, and the fishing was really good at times, but they moved.  If anyone knows of public access around there, I'd like to hear about it, too.
If my advice sounds good, you probably need more practice.

Any way for me to know what you guys look like? or what your sleds or huts look like or where abouts you will be?

I will be pulling a sled and my woman will also have one and my daughter is going. I'll have black carharts on and my woman will have pink bibs and a camo coat..... that is if we go to Long point... still not sure yet on that or Prender?!?

Me and my dad went out at long point earlier today, he wanted to go out to 40 feet so we went there. We caught about 7 keeper perch and threw back only 3. My first fish of the day was my first ever crappie that was 12 inches long. it came unhooked at the hole but i managed to stick my hand in and get it out. My dad hooked into a really big fish, probably a nice keeper walleye. Most likely going to head back out tomorrow at prendergast and try for some perch.

Fished Prendergast Saturday , all day, 830 - 630.  Went straight out from the launch to 30 ft of water, caught ~ 150 perch, mostly 6-9 inch, kept 8 that were 9 inch or bigger, inc two 10 1/2 inch hawgs.  Walk out was OK, ~ 4-6 inches of snow with a hard crust on top.  Sometime you break through, sometimes you don't.  We were the farthest hut out, most stayed in closer to 15-20 ft of water or so.  Coming in at 6:15 was tougher, new 3-4 inches of wet heavy on top of crust, walk was a bit tougher.  Good day out there though, enjoy them while they last.

I was out there today. Conditions were the same as other areas posted. 4-6" of snow with a hard crust on top. We fished till about 2:30 and it did soften up but not too bad. Perch were suspended about 7ft of the bottom in 46FOW. They were closer to the bottom when we moved shallower ~35FOW. Jiggin Raps work best for us. Most fish were between 8-9" with a few over 10. Went home with a couple dozen.

Sorry, Wejeepers, I didn't see your post until this morning.

In the future, I'm guy with the black snowmobile pulling a blue 2 man clam.  I wear a green ice fishing suit.

Anyone is more than welcome to stop by and say hello.  I'll be more than happy to fill you in on how things are going.

Fished Mayville yesterday from 2pm-8pm.  Caught a ton of gills and a few perch.  The walk out was great as there is a nice trail beaten down.  No crappie :(

For bait, whether coming from the east or west, it's Hogan's Hut north of the Stow Exit off of I-86. If Skip is on duty he'll give you advice on where to go, too. Tell him FraBilKil sent you. Best of luck.

Fished Long Point yesterday ventured around point to the North ended up in 37 fow. Caught perch steady all day and left with 30 respectable keepers. The average fish was bigger than years past and they seemed to hit whatever we dropped down, awesome day.

How long is the receipt for minnows good for? I still have mine from the weekend and would love to use them this coming up weekend!

I'd like to go again on saturday but not sure if I am interested in getting wet on the way out and back and hiding in the hut the whole time!

My wife and I just about limited out only fished drone 9-11 and could still be sitting there pounding them outta the vickings club. I agree much nicer size this year we only threw back about 10-15 small ones they we slamming everything but the bigger ones seemed to like the pink minnows. Got to play with the new vexilar and man what a blast fish bumping into the camera flasher lit up like a Christmas tree little slushy hopefully she holds out another week or 2 for us
