9.5 " on Anita this morning. Lot of water on top. Edges are starting to get bad. Need a good hard freeze this week.

anybody been out the last few days.  i was out monday and fished and was on 3 to 4 inches of solid ice, but the rain a few days ago and the warmer weather might have got to us a little.  how is the ice holding up in the sw part of iowa.  any info would be welcome.  looking to get up to 3 fires this weekend if the ice is ok.

I was out last night, 4-5 around the edge, 6-8 everywhere else.

Was out on a pond yesterday and had 8 inches of good ice. Slicker than hell out on the ice spun around with the auger a few times. Teach me to bring the cleats next time haha

thanks for the report boys.  really appreciate it.  went out today and checked out a few spots.  good to go.  we have some doom and gloom ice coming out way tomorrow evening and this weekend.  it gets really old listening to people complain about the weather and how "terrible and bad it is gonna get."   it is mother nature and we don't control her.

A couple of guys and I are thinking of heading over by Creston to ice fish some waters (Green Valley Lake, Summitt Lake) this coming Saturday. Any idea on ice conditions on those two lakes?

bert29 were you guys able to get out.  how was the edges.  edges are pretty bad down here.  ice is prob only 3 to 4 inches now and have to be very cautious getting out if you can even get out.

I checked 2 ponds yesterday. 1 by glenwood. 4 inches ice was sketchy. A pond east of cb. 11 inches.  I'm on that pond now. Slow bite.

Hit 3 ponds in the Exira  Elkhorn area. 7-9" of ice,snow and slush on top. Lots of water going out of outlets. Needs to get cold again!

Fished pony creek and some ponds on Sunday. Pony had 7 inches where I was fishing. Pond had 6 but it was getting pretty rotten.
