Miss Backwater perch/walleye
« on: Jan 12, 2021, 04:08 PM »
Hi guys, I'm taking my oldest son over to the Miss BW around Prairie du Chien this weekend. Never been out there, and it looks a bit daunting with all the water!

Looking for some good fishing (perch, pike, crappie preferably), and a decent spot to hit a walleye night bite. We will be traveling on foot, but willing to walk a bit. Figured we'd hit the places I keep hearing about (DeSoto Bay, Harper's Ferry, Gremore) during the day for some panfish, but not sure about a PM walleye bite? Any lakes fairly close by that might be worth a try?

I'll be getting a WI license, so shouldn't have any issues going anywhere.

I don't generally like asking for help, and I know others have asked about this area, but any insider tips would be appreciated!

Tight lines!!

Backwater walleye are like finding a needle in a haystack - a few people catch them here and there but it is not common

Hit up desoto, stoddard and la crosse for panfish
