Safe Ice Reports?...
« on: Jan 12, 2008, 03:28 PM »
Checked a couple of ponds in Western Ma today. Each place had about equal amounts of black ice to snow ice ratio.

Center Lake - Becket, MA: 6-7" (edges by the beach was open about a foot. one guy fishing but said it was slow.)
White Lilly - Otis, MA: 7-9" (Recent holes drilled on top)
Norwich Lake - Huntington, MA: 6-8", (couple of groups, quads on the ice.)
***Creepers suggested at each of them!

She said if I went fishing she'd be gone, "I'm gonna miss her"...

Ice is good framingham metro west, getting out past the edges is the tough part...need a plank once you are out there you are all set..
