Winter fishing opportunities in Nova Scotia

For those who love the outdoors, ice fishing
is an ideal winter sport. Fishing licenses for
2010 are valid until March 31, 2011. If you
anticipate taking part in a winter fishery, please
keep your license and return your completed
license stub at the end of March. The Winter
Fishing Season extends from January 1-March
31, except for the following 3 lakes the season
begins on January 1-February 28.
Exceptions:
Meadow Pond, Hants County
(Jan. 1-Feb. 28)
Silver and Sunken Lakes, Kings County
(Jan. 1-Feb. 28)
The bag limit for rainbow trout during the
winter fishery is two (2) per day, and for
chain pickerel, white perch and yellow
perch, twenty-five (25) per day.
