I was only giving Ed crap before he flies to PR. I know nothing of that stuff Tony, you know I lament the north end!
There are I'm told but not for me. Tell you what I had a blast in the boat in the narrows before things locked up. You'd think the lakers never ate.
Heading up in the morning and looking for an update on ice conditions. Heard they got 5” of wet snow, wondering how the drag out is, thx
Anybody got an estimate of total ice on the southern end?
Tony are the local food spots still closed?

appreciate the repost of the pics. Hopefully those open water spots and lock this weekend.
Do any of you folks target smelt on Schroon?I’ll be heading up this weekend to fish Champlain with some college friends and will be staying north of Schroon. We had planned on heading into the Saranac Lake area for some smelt fishing one day on some of my old college fishing spots, but the thought of fishing Schroon crossed my mind since it’s closer. You can PM me if you rather not put that information out on there for all to see. Thanks in advance.
How much snow is forecast for tonight up there
I caught 3 Lakers last weekend in less than 15 feet of water I never fish more than 20 foot of water on schroon always catch Lakers and a good amount of perch I caught smelt all day ton of smelt in schroon !!
Not many places for them to go in summer so I tend to fish shallower also in winter they like to explore areas where they can’t in the summer I usually fish 40 and less. 40s been my favorite starting number shallow or deeper sets from there
Jigging them this summer via spot lock was 100x more viable than in the winter. Actually was a lot of fun.
Any update on the snow from the recent storm?
Don’t have eyes but I was told 4-6”
