Hi. We’re hoping to possibly fish Constance or Iroquois over the holidays. Have never fished Constance but have seen the Lake and would love to give it a try. Gorgeous lake. I’m wondering about access or ice thickness? I’ve heard there are springs to be aware of. Any info. appreciated. Thanks

No idea as to ice thickness. There are springs around to be aware of at the far end of the lake access. The good news is you only need to go 100 yards or so to the left along the shoreline in 5-15ft of water to do well. Also, if you can't be there ready to fish for 8 don't bother. They come fast and furious for little more than an hour then they stop biting anything. You'll still see them after

Is there more than one access point to the lake? Only way I have accessed is through farmers gate.

pretty sure thats the only access unless its changed since last yr. when i was there

Ya that's the only access via truck.
14 inches of ice there today, saw a few on cam but nothing committing.

If you are on Iroquois, you can get to Constance via some back trails, but it is difficult to get your gear in with you, and if walking it would be a long haul. Through the farmers gate is the best way to access, just don't forget to close that gate behind you both on the way in and out.

Was out today, fishing was slow. Luckily there was a couple mini vans and a car trying to get around that kept us entertained.

I was going to try Constance lake and got confused there is another Constance lake beside Wakaw lake, has anybody tried that one?

Heading up to the area this weekend.
Any snow and ice reports?
