Talked to my neighbour at Whalen yesterday. They have ten inches around the edge and 6 in the middle. It was a late freeze as the wind opened the lake up again about a month ago. They caught a few lakers, one a 6lb and caught a jack, so I guess with the high water over the last few years there are coming more and more common in the first lake.

Thanks for the info guys. when we were out there for new year we didn't have much luck we saw lots on the camera, but they just didn't want to bite, we caught only one little guy and thats about it. It was storming when we were there and it almost seems like when its storming the fish aren't bitting but that's just my opinion.
