That's a nice fish don't see to many large calico's anymore in ct my old fishing buddy has or had the ct state record I think it was around 4lbs back in the mid 70's back when it was common place to catch them over 18 inches on a regular basis. I like your sweat shirt as well since I was born in the granite myself and have relatives that live up the in meredith. shotty

Hey just wanted to make a correction on a mistake I made on the size of calico's caught back in the day, I said 18" was common size I meant to write 16" as a regular larger size with the 18 inchers being around but not in the numbers of the 16's I'm sure some of the other old timers out there remember those day's when catching 20 plus nice sized calico's along with boat loads of perch was just another day on the pond. Sorry for any confusion shotty

Not too many bodies of water are hosting 16" calico's that is for sure.

Dear Mr. Jigger ;D; as you well know I have only been out on productive waters only once this season, if we get ice 16" is a throw back. As you also know, I have all the places locked up as of now but just have not made it up there to officially turn in the pics. . Just need ice and the forecast does not look favorable. The ice on the lake Bob got this fish on is probably shot for the season, at least for me.
Congrads on your win last season, 1st place is a great accomplishment, even when you are the only one that entered ;D ;D ;D. Bob puts his time in; he caledl me in the am when he ice the slab to ask if he should enter it, hell ya was my response.
I still owe ya the Reg. fee, thanks bud!!!!

It jusrt occurred to me i FORGOT to pay your entry fee, while I was BS'ing with Blaine.... ;D oooppsss my bad!!! :P
I know where ya live....it is only 10 bucks no worries. My shanty is nice and toasty even if i did not catch a 20" crappie last year....least i was smart enough to enter it. :P now bring me some ice, not fishing for 3 weeks is making me cranky pants.
