Nothing wrong with that if you ask me, a sign that we're getting closer to the best time of the year.

I never said there was anything wrong with it ol' buddy!  ;D  I was standing in the basement last night staring at my clam. I'm still having fun on the soft water but I can't wait until the bugs are gone, the honey-do list is put away until spring and I can walk on water!!!! It's all down hill from here!

I can't wait until it gets here, hopefully this year will more than make up for last year's crap season.

I finally got out last Friday... then it rain like hell a few hours after I got on the lake. For the rest of the weekend the honey-do list kept me off the streets and out of trouble. I hate it when it rains when I'm on the ice but in a good year it's just snow and I love it out on the ice in a snow storm. And on top of that, the honey-do list is put away until spring and I don't work on anything that isn't life altering! I got a few more trips out onto soft water this year but I am looking forward to the winter!

I was just reading the Farmer's Almanac and they are predicting a cold and snowy winter.  I sure hope we get good ice before the snow.  I'm sure the Pa board a**hole, I'm sure more than just a few of you know who I'm referring to, will chime in and start his crap again on how it's not accurate and doesn't meet his super scientific hookus pokus mandate, but never the less it gives us a bit of optimism.

Oneida sounds VERY tempting, maybe now that both of my girls are going to be in school all day I might be able to pull it off even if it's for one or two days.

You shouldn't be surprised there.  I was just looking at the Weather Channel's ten day forecast and they're calling for lows in the low 50's and upper 40's which will get the thoughts rollin.    ;)
