Ice question

The pond i want to fish has around 3 to 3 and half inches of clear hard ice i want to fish it would it be safe
Being a river rat is fun when you have grown up fishing most of your life

I was just checking it agian and it was growing and singing alittle so im gonna go check it out and hope for the best its gonna be a long cold night so hopefully it will grow some more

Went today only caught one crappie idk whats up with them in there

fished on 4" of hard ice yesterday at DC.  Checked a few spots but only 1 area had safe ice and not a lot of room in that cove.  Imagine the rain and weather we are getting now will impact the lake and it will be a while before I can get on again.  Fishing wise we got a late start and got a few perch and pike.  One pike around 30" and the rest were small but fun to catch.  Anyone trying to get out STAY SAFE!

Just got off 5-6" in my area, fish not cooperating though
