It is getting warmer. I am wondering if any pond has been stocked with trout yet?

New stocking hasn't started yet. Gone are the days when they stocked through the ice. Too bad, that was fun.

Some ponds were stocked in the Fall and many ponds have very good holdover fishing.

Once stocking starts, you can follow the schedule here:

Only if you count the ones that were stocked in the fall.

Keep an eye on that link. I don't know how the state determines when to start stocking but Whites in Concord is wide open. That means Walden and other eastern Ma. ponds are as well.
They might just start sooner than usual if no deep freezes are forcast.
Btw, just as an observation, I started fishing Whites in 1980. I do not remember ever being open water in February.
Back then they stocked it through the ice in February.

Trucks will probably be stocking the cape and southeastern ma lakes/ponds in mid march as usual.
My guess is March 16th

Trucks will probably run this week in SE mass.  Almost always first week in March if no ice.   There’s no ice

fish now. I've been catching bows like they are stockies in a couple of my favorite cape ponds for the last month. 8 fish in a couple hours has been about the norm. the coming stocking will only make it much better.

Agreed. The number of holdovers in some of the better ponds is always good.
With the crappy ice this year in the eastern ponds like the one in my pics, the fish haven't been pressured.
I still have a tank full of bait. Rather than drive hours away chasing ice, they may just get floated under a bobber.
Spring-like weather coming this week. Again.
