Pretty sure there’s enough on it just seeing if anyone that lives in the area could give me an update. Heading out there tonight for some smelt

Hoping those gusts die down around midnight like their saying .looks like I’ll be bringing some extra rope to tie down the sides of the shanty.

Sticking it out for the night took me a good hour to get the pop up tied down.  Bunch of crappie and one smelt so far.

How were the edges? I'm a big boy and I am hoping to get out there Sunday.  Figure the refreeze the next couple of days will help out a little.  Congrats on the fish thus far, stay on em!

Onota is fine. 10 inches out by the fishing pier. The launch looks questionable but it's fine. No fish in this pond though. ;D I wouldn't drive out though. But I'm a wimp.

We got some nice smallies and a small pike yesterday. My gf continued her hot streak w a 5.5lb smallie on the first flag of the day. Jigged up a few smaller ones and some nice perch as well. Action slowed significantly in the afternoon.

Seen some monster smallies caught along that shoreline this season.

I’m gonna get out tomorrow - with the pressure drop and temperature rise I have high hopes. Those are typically my best ice fishing conditions.

So far when she goes out she has the hot hand.  I tend to end up with more but she's been out maybe 5 times this year and has a 27 inch laker that was about 7lbs and a 5.5lb smallie.  I do all the work and she reaps all of the rewards.  But it was a fun day out on the ice.  Charcoal grill going all day, burgers, steak kebabs, and plenty of suds to wash it all down.

Some really nice looking fish, good food and company. What better way to spend a day on the ice when your catching big ones like that.
