SW Michigan
« on: Mar 26, 2011, 12:19 PM »
I have been swamped with work and school lately and haven't been fishing in a long time...Wondering if the perch were biting on the piers yet? how the steely action is on the grand/rogue? has the sucker run started yet? I'm going out tomorrow and wanna catch some fish but literally have no idea whats going on in the waters right now...any input at all would be great!

Thanks
I remember my first beer!

I seen a few sucker caught in the grand last week, but as of right now the grand is HIGH and DIRTY!!!!!!!  It'll be mid next week before its fishable again, without using 8 ft leaders and 3/4 oz lead...  Only a week until spearing season opens for suckers!! Cant WAIT!!!!

We spear em in all the little creeks in Ottawa/Allegan county... Basically any creek has suckers in it.  We are going to shoot em with our bows this year in the creeks too, but mostly we just get a big heavy spear head on the end of a broomstick and walk the creeks and do work!
