Can anyone tell me if Loughborough lake (West) is safe to get out on?

I would say no, although Im not 100% sure...I fished Dog lake (right next door to loughborough) and there was only 7 inches of ice (4 black and 3 white) in the extreme shallows...I was fishing in 10 to 20 feet at the most...if you are chasing those lakers in the 70+ I would not venture out

Len was saying this morning he might check it out at some point in the day. I would give him a ring Corey  :)

I just got off the phone with my buddy and he told me that the east basin(shallow end) had an average of 8-10"  The west basin (deep end) however was open water on Jan 1st :o  I might just go to dog instead ...   If anyone is up for a morning fish let me know :)
