Truck cab Shanty??
« on: Feb 02, 2003, 05:57 AM »
Sounds weird huh. The idea crossed my mind the other day to use a pickup cab preferably toy for size. Gut out everything and put skids on the bottom or  leave the wheels on and mount a hitch on front for portability. Cut you the your holes in the floor and build a box under the hood to store gear and leave the headlights in for night fishing.Sounds stupid or no. Im sure you could get one cheap at the junkyard. Just storing it might not fare well with the wife. :-/

I have seen them made from the bed of a pickup. Added a cap that was made taller with a plywood spacer. It is basically made into a trailer for portability.

It's a little different but it seems like it would work O.K.
Write back later on to tell us how it worked :)
