auger made with car starter motor

Adipose has a home built auger thats really neat, hopefully he will chime in.

I had one and it was good - a 6v out of an old car will turn faster than a 12v when hooked up to a 12v battery.  Using booster cables and the batt in a truck you can go forever but dragging a battery out on a sled was good for 20 or so holes iirc.  Mine was a 6v with a cup auger so I chucked the cup and used the leg off of an 8" Eskimo auger.
