For Jigging for walleye LINE type ,size , Leaders , Lures?
fireline with a 6 lb mono leader if in a shack or warmer weather. If mobile and no shack, out in the cold, Trilene XL 4 or 6 lb. Lures, when you find some fish they bite just about anything out on the market. Work each group of fish over with a slipfloat, light line, small hook, enough shot to anchor the minnow/a flashy jigging spoon - buckshot or swedish pimple, an aggressive swimbait like the jiggin raps, a subtle swim bait like the chubby darter. Once you find fish with the spoons or raps you can usually coax a few more out of the school with more subtle offerings. During midday anyway, when the light gets low, use something that will sink fast so you can get it right back down there when the fish move in and maintains good tight line so you can feel em tap it - during this time it matters very little what you use, as long as your in the proper location.
