Finally drilled a few holes.

Got out and packed down the trail into my cabin and then jigged for troots for a few hours. Missed one in the first 10 minutes and then landed a wee 3 pounder on an 8" white tube jig about 5 minutes later. The rest of the day I had a bunch of lookers but no biters.
Should have taken a pic of that first one. 
Off to go get me some poikes in the AM.

Not yet.
No heat and open eves. Would be pretty chilly. 
Will stay in it during the summer and hope to get heat next winter.
Gotta pay for windows and roof first.

Thanks for the winter cabin pics, Drifter. That is a great project you have going there. Doesn't look like a lot of snow, how thick is your ice this year? Down here in the lower 48 the El Nino has made for a thinner than usual ice pack and shorter fishing season.
