Grove Lake (Royal)

I have fished grove lake a couple times (not hard water), I think its a beautiful setting and was wondering if someone could post ice conditions and maybe what's biting and any other thoughts and concerns

Bait shop reported 1 1/2 inches on Thursday

Drove by it today, has 2 spots with springs that are still open.

Any snow on top or did it melt into it, thinking about making the trip and trying it next weekend but if conditions aren't good I'll stick around home

Didn't actually see it only made the call to bait shop. The south stays open on the inlet until it gets below zero. Even then don't go there

Well I appreciate the info, if you hear anything new please post it, I'll keep checking in as the week progresses, I just don't feel like being around home next weekend, apparently I'm not much help making Christmas cookies so I guess I'll go fishing

There is ice around different places. Shouldn't be hard to find a place by then

It was all open when it snowed, so there shouldn't be any snow on the ice. Haven't been up there since snow to check
