Marv I've been meaning to ask you what angle you prefer your chain saws be set at ? Most are at what 20-25*
I usually use Stihl chains and filed to an angle of about 30° - parallel to the "service mark" that's etched on the tops of each cutter showing the proper filing angle. I have a jig that I put over the tooth to help keep the stroke level and angle close. I find that proper raker height is about as important as chain sharpness in making the chips fly.
