i've fried up whole perch egg skeins to eat befor, and they don't taste too bad, but, they don't have a lot of flavor, either.they are slightly salty with a hint of fishy taste, with a firm texture, like a stiff pudding.does anyone have any recipes?when you clean a mess of perch there is a lot of eggs, and with a little care you can remove the skeins whole.when i throw them away i always feel like i'm wasting something good.( i'm serious, but boy, i can hear the jokes already!)
Im wondering the same thing myself.....
hold the perch upside down...place mouth over vent...squeeze and suck eggs out of perch simultaneously.wipe fish slime of mouth and smile at your buddies.~ G
