Cody just grab some scaffolding from the construction site down the road.  The lake should be making ice all day. Mother nature is going to tease us with cold temps again.

the edge is open water you need some boards to make it to the ice.....the fishing has been really really slow there i fished all day monday without a single fish and the same thing a couple days before that......there is still about ten inches of ice on the lake

Went to Delta today.  Shore by beach crusting over.....maybe 1'2 - 3/4".  It will hold you for a second or 2 before it gives in.  Real thin like that out 10 - 20yds depending on where along the shore u are.  Ice "looked ok" once past the thin shore ice, but with no one else out there I wasn't going to try to find out.  2 guys were off behind the camp ground real close to shore.  Shore ice looks better there but I wasn't feeling it.

towards the campsites?

Walked through the campsites today.....(thats why I went there in the first place, "recon for summer").  Head toward the campsites. The campsite road is blocked off, continue to the right to the ranger station.  Looked like people had been parking down there and then dragging through the campsites down to the ice.  Saw a lot of drag marks through the ice on the campsite roads.

The water is usually merkey but it was exceptionally merkey last night. I hope it cleans up before the derby next Saturday.

Yes I mean snowmobile. I accessed the lake right at the beach but I was mindful of not tearing up the grass and staying near the tree line. The edge held me just fine.

went out this afternoon 2-dusk. fished 17-3 fow. drilled bout 30 holes. marked a few fish of diff sizes but most were prob like the 2 dinks i caught. prob needed a few more lure changes. went out the back set. shoreline was solid plenty of wheelers. ice is butter smooth. just enuff ice left on trail for easy dragging. lake is up, and seems like they re leavin it that way for awhile. nice day anyways wind died down at nite.
