Title: graphite Ice rods
Post by: cliff on Jan 07, 2003, 10:31 AM
I'm looking for a graphite ice rod similar to Berkely's Gentz model but without the Gentz price. Just call me cheap I guess

Cliff,

I think I know just what you're looking for.  HT makes a signature series rod that runs about 15 bucks.  There is also another rod that's right up your ally that runs about $12.  It's called the Polar lite noodle rod.  The HT comes in several different actions; I don't know about the Polar Lite.  You can find them on Peterson-Outdoors.com.  I have a HT First Ice in light action 32".  It's a great pearchin rod!

Good luck

Eric

Hey cliff

i got an "ugly ice" combo from shakespear for christmas this year, and it has quickly become my favorite rod.  My old lady got it from cabelas for 30$ i think.  I have 2 berkelys that are gonna be staying in the truck as a backup, because it is a nice setup, especially for the money.  All this coming from a berkely fan....... go figure.

good luck!
