Haha it was actually caught by my buddy walter the walleye whisperer. He put on a nice clinic this weekend to say the least. That was the big fish of the trip at 22 1/4"..  i wear a 15 and am a pretty big fella so i make some fish that people would consider mounting look sub legal at times.  ;D heard it was a fairly tough bite for a lot of people out there this weekend so we were fortunate to land on some active fish. The perch loved the uv perch #5 midday aswell. Good luck to those who get out to finish up the season and stay on top!

He bailed from here, went to FB with other members from here. His reports were good, no doubt.... but, most don’t know how he got to know the lake when he first starting fishing it. There’s a few “seasoned” fisherman on this site and lake who taught him well. Shane put his time in to learn more. He’s a friend and great fisherman. End of story!!!😎

heading back to camp for the last few days of eyes, can't believe the results for me, I fished 4or 5 days a week and caught 4 keeper eyes for the season so far. Seem like I tried everything that I used last year when I caught my limit many times, just don't understand whats changed.  I used a camera most of February and watched the eyes come to my spoons or jig raps and tap them on the topside of the lure and swim away. I'll keep trying but, well its fishing not catching

I can’t catch a walleye lately to save my life. The places I had been getting them have all dried up. Between Sat, yesterday and today I must have tried 20-25 spots.  I got out last night and got a short and dozen perch.  Went back this am and picked away at the perch. Lots of lookers but when a small group came thru I’d catch a fish or two then they’d be gone. They’d come and go every 10-15 mins. Ended up with 41 and a bonus eye.  Awesome traveling with the sled this am as everything tightened up. The snow on top was a little slushy later in the day but not bad at all. I measured 16 inches of ice.  As always be careful. Late ice can be unpredictable

Go Cuse!!!!

Got out this evening and fished from 5-6:45. Fish were right where I left them on Friday. Caught 5 keeper eyes 2 shorts and dumped 5 more eyes. Also caught one big perch. It was a fun couple hours out there. The top was a touch soft on the way in but not bad at all.

Great job guys.

You are definitely on those eyes Bobby!

After 10 straight trips of walleye limits it has slowed down for me. No keepers in the past couple of trips.
