Beach mountain lake, drums
« on: Jan 16, 2019, 05:09 PM »
I have family that live in there and was going to try ice fishing the lake. Anyone have any info? I've fished it in the summer and did well. My question is is ice fishing allowed? Any special rules? My family has no clue and when I called the the shack they really didn't have much to say.

Was going to stop tomorrow evening and check the ice. And possibly do a little evening fishing Friday. I've just been hearing so many things people saying you can and can't.

Private lake in a private community. You must be a property owner or a guest to even get by the guard shack.

Everything is illegal in BML lol. The Beech Mtn police may or may not give you a hassle. I moved away several months ago. We did ice fish it from time to time. Getting on by the clubhouse can be tough. Bubblers and a creek coming in there can make it impossible to get on around there. If you come on from lakefront property you should be ok. I lived close to the spillway. We would park by the timeshare and access from there. Weekends are likely to be less of a problem. During the week when the offices are open is when I have heard of people getting grief. We usually stayed around the island. Most people seem to go across from the beach off the point. That is the deepest water out there.
