Safe Ice in Southern MN

I'm gonna be up and down I-90 for the next two days and I'm wondering if anyone knows how much ice is out there. I drove into Rochester today and the lakes I saw didn't look too promising. I'll probably be staying in Fairmont or Austin. I'd appreciate any advice.

Shoot. I guess I'll just poke some holes by a dock with my spud bar so I fell like I'm at least making an effort.
