Ice fishing with standout hooks?

Hi guys,
I was wondering if any of you have ever tried ice fishing with that standout drop shot hook?
How did they work for you?
What did you use on them real bait or plastics?
What is their action like?

I saw a few the other day and picked up 2 sizes. A smaller size for trout and perch and a larger size for pike, walleye, burbot ect.
Both packs I bought were the red colored ones.
I tied up a smaller rig and larger rig today.

The stacker rig shown on the website also looks like a good option for ice fishing.

Interesting hook design.  I experimented last season with a few multi-hook tip-up rigs, mostly umbrella style though.

I bought some hooks during the summer to rebuild some crawler harnesses with, and accidently got the standouts. Now I have an idea what to do with them. Thanks.

I use them in open water jigging with a 12' pole with a minnow for crappie.  I see no reason they wont work  under ice.  I have used those but use these more.....  http://www.basspro.com/VMC-Spinshot-DropShot-Hooks/product/11072611103125/

Ive used them this past spring during the spawn, and they worked pretty good.  Im going to try them out this year on the ice as well

Any way you could flare the bottom of the hole, KB ?    Might save a bit of grief.
