Has anyone been fishing Summit lake? I want to check the ice conditions before I travel there. Also, is the bait store still open? Thanks
-
People have been fishing the bas since the end of.last week. Yes the bait store is open. I would image people are starting to head out on the main lake just depends on how comfortable you are but I'm sure there out there.

Was there yesterday. I saw shanties between the cpg and islands, one shanty and a few guys out near the dam, and fishermen scattered around the bays.

I've already fished Summit a few times. 6+ inches of ice in the coves. I haven't ventured out on the main lake yet but there's been a few guys out fishing towards the dam for walleye

Anyone brave enough for an ice report today?
-
No ones had time to go out yet...lol. Just got cold again this morning??

We got on this morning in a back bay from the campground. About seven inches in the back but less as we walked across. Very slow bite. Only kept three gills. Did see a nice fat walleye caught on a tip-up.

Very encouraging bigWillie! Hope to see you out there some tips week and next weekend!

Has anyone been out in the last couple of days wondering how the ice condition is?

. U might want to look outside, as the last 2 weeks destroyed any ice in the region, not even a sniff of ice, unless you are looking in your freezer!!!
