were all new at this (Pikki league - Tournaments) including me so will just have to try and figure things out as we go along.

yep... Team CanAM is registered

i think captains do have to register their teams first... then the team members can join the team

once registered, the team members can scroll down to their team name by pressing join a team... put in your player name and password and your all set

The only catch it that i have to activate it on the day of the tourney to get it started. Which i wont be able to do unless i get internet where i am. Will see i guess.

Post by: InSearchOfPerch on Mar 19, 2008, 10:25 AM: This is getting kinda crazy....the day of the tourney and not a single person knows if there even will be a tourney....My recommendation is since it is almost noon and no one has said whether its a go or not, maybe consider reschedulng the date. If the intention is to wait until 5 or something today to say yes we are doing it, over 3/4 of the people wont show up. JMO. Im game either way, and I will make it a point to make sure my whole team is there if its a go...but a little notice please. Trying to contact everyone and trying to get the word out that it either is or isnt a go a half hour before the start time isnt going to work. Someone PLEASE make an announcement or a call on whether we are playing.

If we don't diseminate the info we know to date early, it's gonna be a mess when 6:30 rolls around and
alot of us have to work early on Monday and can't fish until midnight.

We really don't know what to do as far as checking in, checking pairings, servers we will be playing on, etc.
None of us have done this before so it's been a little confusing.
The other issue is that most people have to work during the week so to stay up playing a fishing game until 11pm is kinda tough on an old carcus. As Brown suggested above we need to do it on a Friday or saturday night. I really don't think it's a lack of interest, it's just that we don't know how it's gonna go and alot of us can't play late on a weekday.
Just my 2 cents.

Post by: longrod on Apr 01, 2008, 06:04 PM: I think that the only way a tournament will be able to happen is if it can be over a period of time, like a week. Then we won't have to sit at our computers for 8 hours, and it won't be terrible if a person on your team can't show up on that day. In reality there are very small odds of every person on every team being able to be there .
